T-TIME REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

General:
In keeping with the President's goal of better organizing our weekend activities, we have established weekend and holiday tee-time registration procedures. These procedures will allow us to better plan the number of tee-times required for the Association, match foursomes in advance, and maintain a degree of flexibility in light of numerous changes at The Courses of Fort Meade. All members will benefit from these procedures.

Tee-Time Registration:
All members who plan to participate in weekend or holiday activities scheduled through the Association must signup for each activity not later than Wednesday for weekend activities or five (5) days in advance of holiday golf activities. Please note that signup may start as early as one week prior to any scheduled activity. Members may also pre-register for activities when they are scheduled to be out of town for more than a week prior to their departure. All members taking advantage of pre-registration must notify the Activities Chairperson immediately upon their return that their plans to play with the group have not changed since pre-registration. Failure to coordinate with the Activities Chairperson may result in your not playing with the Association.

Tee-Time Cutoff:
If by chance, the number of members desiring to participate exceeds the number of tee-times allocated to the Association, the cutoff will be based on the order in which members signed up for play with the Activities Chairperson. If a member scheduled to participate drops out (or is dropped after failing to coordinate pre-registration participation upon return), the next member in the order of signup will be eligible to play.

Tee-Time Dissemination:
Tee-Times, when acquired by members on behalf of the Association, should be passed immediately to the Activities Chairperson and/or the President for maximum dissemination to the Association. It will be the responsibility of each individual member to (1) call the Activities Chairperson, (2) call the President or (3) check availability at Golf Activities to get a list of available tee-times for Association events.

Arrival at the Golf Course:
All members scheduled for an event must be at the golf course at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled tee-time. This is a requirement not only of the Association but of The Courses at Fort Meade as well. There are many instances in which tee-times are "juggled," either by the Association or starter. Therefore, any member who has not reported to the Activities Chairperson at least 15 minutes before a scheduled tee-time will lose their tee-time to the next eligible member at the golf course ready, willing, and able to play who was not scheduled to play. The Activities Chairperson and/or the President will rule on extenuating circumstances. Please note that such rulings will be final!

Order of Play:
The order of play for each group will be determined by draw. Any group not ready for scheduled play will rotate to the end of the rotation. Early play requests by a member will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Speed of Play:
We are all reminded to play "ready golf." That is, if you are in a position to put your ball in play, please don't wait - play your shot! Make sure that your group does not lose sight of the group in front of you.
